You and your colleagues are being asked to not only restore the United Nations' funding that President Trump cut, but also to increase the UN funding to Obama-era levels. This is a mistake.

For the past three years, President Trump has gone through the UN budget line by line and cut funding to the organization's most anti-American programs.

When Obama signed the Paris Climate Treaty, without Congressional ratification, he agreed to send the United Nations $3 Billion to redistribute to help the very countries competing to steal away American jobs. The Obama administration agreed to fund the UN Migration Pact, an open-border initiative that has spent years trying to force the United States to admit as many unvetted refugees and illegal aliens as possible. The Human Rights Council, despite its name, does very little work actually confronting human rights violations. Instead, they spend their days investigating and condemning the United States and Israel. The Trump administration also caught the Palestinian Authority misusing its aid funding. While claiming to be too poor to take care of their people, the Palestinian leadership had secretly purchased a new private jet. American education aid was used to teach children "Death to America" and "Death to Israel," and the Palestinian government was caught secretly giving pensions to the families of killed and arrested terrorists. Trump said 'no more' and cut it all

Trump withdrew from all of these programs and cut the funding to them as well. Why should American taxpayers contribute to an anti-American organization?

When the Trump administration caught the World Health Organization (part of the UN) bowing down before China and helping the Chinese cover up their role in spreading the Coronavirus, Trump cut the WHO's funding too. Instead of funding a pro-China and anti-America organization, the President redirected the funds to domestic health organizations.

This is what putting America First looks like.

Unfortunately, the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act would restore these funding cuts and actually increase the United Nations' funding. It literally undoes Trump's cuts, restoring hundreds of millions of dollars to the UN.

This is shameful. You were elected to serve the American people, not to prop up the United Nations.

I am demanding that you sign on and pass the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. Written by Mike Rogers, this bill would cut ALL funding to the United Nations. Congress would be free to contribute to UN programs on a case by case basis, but the UN would no longer be able to decide what to do with the money we send them.

The bill would also prohibit UN soldiers from training on US soil and prevent UN officials from ever again issuing an order to an American soldier. It would also revoke the diplomatic immunity that UN officials enjoy on US soil.

Again, this is what putting America First looks like.

You cannot say that it is in our interest to send the UN a blank check like this. You cannot say that you are putting your constituents first when you send so much of their hard earned tax dollars overseas. You cannot say you are upholding and defending the Constitution when you are funding UN projects designed to chip away at it...

You need to pull the plug on the UN once and for all!

If you go along with this plan to restore and increase the United Nations' funding, I promise that you will be removed from office.
