They say that how someone responds to a crisis can reveal their true nature. The Speaker of the House's Coronavirus response has proven that Nancy Pelosi cannot be trusted with this power.

When President Trump was coordinating the response to the coronavirus and closing the borders to Chinese travelers, instead of working with him, Nancy Pelosi was leading the impeachment charge to try to remove him from office. This stunt literally paralyzed the Congress and prevented them from mounting a faster response to the virus.

Then, Nancy Pelosi had the original Coronavirus package on her desk, but refused to schedule the vote until AFTER Super Tuesday. Instead of taking the initiative and giving the government what it needed to keep the American people safe, Nancy Pelosi delayed the vote so that the DCCC could run campaign ads against vulnerable Republicans accusing them of inaction.

Next, we learned that Nancy Pelosi had tried to slip a provision into the Coronavirus spending package that would have repealed the Hyde Amendment and opened the door for Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics to bill the taxpayers directly for abortion procedures. Instead of focusing on keeping the country safe, Pelosi cared more about trying to legalize taxpayer-funded abortions...

And when the GOP offered to compromise and meet somewhere in the middle, Pelosi gave them a take it or leave it ultimatum. She threatened to close the Capitol and send Democrats home unless the GOP agreed to pass the Coronavirus bill as-is.

We have known for years that the country is better off without Nancy Pelosi in power. But now, it is clear. The country simply cannot risk keeping Pelosi as Speaker of the House.

We cannot trust that Nancy Pelosi will put the needs of the country over the her own political ambitions.

Pelosi was caught, red handed, politicizing the coronavirus response to win political points against the President. She has blocked and delayed vital legislation and then accused Republicans of not doing enough.

Enough is enough.
