Our country is built on a system of separation of powers. The Executive Branch handles law enforcement and foreign policy, while the Congress deals with legislation.

When Members of Congress start interfering with US foreign policy, not only do they violate the Constitution and put the country at risk, but they also technically are in violation of the law.

The Founders knew that the United States could never thrive if unapproved citizens were trying to conduct their own foreign policy. They passed the Logan Act into law, officially prohibiting citizens from undermining the President of the United States like this. This is the same law that the Deep State used to open a criminal investigation into Michael Flynn.

A number of your colleagues are now openly and unapologetically violating this law.

In December, Nancy Pelosi traveled to Madrid to attend the United Nations' climate conference. Trump had ordered no one to attend the conference on behalf of the United States. Pelosi defied the President and attended the conference anyway. And while there, she urged foreign leaders to negotiate with her on climate change instead of the President and vowed not to allow Trump to withdraw from the UN Climate Treaty.

Then, this weekend, we learned that Senator Chris Murphy stepped away from the Munich Security Conference to secretly meet with Iran's Foreign Minister, one of the most heavily sanctioned people on the planet. During that meeting, as John Kerry did before him, Murphy allegedly told the Iranians to try to wait-out President Trump. If a Democrat were to win the next election, America would be able to return to the nuclear pact.

In both of these instances, your colleagues broke the law. They engaged in an illegal shadow foreign policy, deliberately designed to undermine Presidential policy.

But what is even more disturbing is that they think they can get away with it. They are so confident that they are literally confessing to breaking the law...

You have a duty to hold these lawbreakers accountable. As a member of Congress, you have the ability to not only file an ethics complaint against these criminals, but also to refer them to the DOJ for prosecution.

That is exactly what you must do.

If any other Member of Congress violated the Logan Act to subvert US foreign policy, and openly colluded with foreign countries to bypass the State Department, they would have already been stripped of their power. But because these cases include high profile Democrats, we are just expected to let it go...

No way.

If you do not hold these people accountable, I will have no choice but to vote you OUT!
