Nancy Pelosi's conduct during the State of the Union was disgraceful. She embarrassed not just herself and her party, but the entire Congress.

The State of the Union is the one time every year that both chambers gather together. While the Constitution does not require that the address be delivered in-person, it has become tradition for the President of the United States to deliver his speech in person.

The Speaker of the House is charged with hosting the President and welcoming him into the House of Representatives. Like many traditions, there is a script to be followed. The Speaker is supposed to say that they have the "high privilege and distinct honor" of presenting the President of the United States. Pelosi, noticeably refused to read that script.

Throughout the speech, Pelosi's facial expressions and scoffs were an embarrassing distraction. But the truly shameful conduct came at the end of the address. While the President was concluding his remarks, Nancy Pelosi stood, grabbed the formal copy of the speech that Trump had given her, and ripped it into pieces before tossing it in the trash.

Never in our history have we seen such disgraceful conduct from the Speaker of the House.

As Pelosi was exiting the chamber, she was asked why she ripped up her copy of the speech. She responded that "it was the courteous thing to do, given the alternatives." I will leave it to you to decide what she wanted to do with her copy of the speech that would have been worse than tearing it up on national television...

it is now clearer than ever that Nancy Pelosi is unfit to hold this office.

Even putting aside what Pelosi has put the country through over the last four months by advancing the sham impeachment articles, her actions last night prove that she must be removed from power. The American people deserve better...

At a time when Nancy Pelosi was supposed to play the respectful host, she couldn't even keep it together for an hour and a half.

The list of reasons for removing Nancy Pelosi is long. But what is clear now is that she must go.

The duty now falls to you. Yes, Nancy Pelosi must be censured for her conduct. But you and I both know that she is unfit to serve as Speaker of the House, the second in line to the Presidency.

I am demanding that you use every tool and power at your disposal to ensure that Nancy Pelosi is removed from the Speakership.

If you refuse to take immediate action, I will have no choice but to assume that you support her deplorable conduct and remove YOU from office...
