For the past half year, the UN has faced a bankruptcy crisis. Because of Pres. Trump's funding cuts, the UN was forced to implement a hiring freeze.

Late last month, you and your colleagues passed a spending package that authorized new funding for the United Nations, essentially saving the UN from bankruptcy.

What are they spending the money on? Hiring new civilian disarmament officers. The UN is looking to fill out its gun control department by hiring multiple experts in disarmament.

But while these UN officials have typically been stationed abroad and required to speak foreign languages, these new hires will work in the United States and are only required to speak English.

The only English-speaking country that has not already adopted UN-endorsed gun control laws is the United States.

The United Nations is trying to fulfill the goals of the Small Arms Trade Treaty that Barack Obama signed. Not only are they seeking to control the firearm industry in the United States, but the UN's goal is to create a registry of American gun owners to make future disarmament easier.

The United Nations has pledged to help any states seeking to enact gun control. This offer takes on new meaning now that the Governor of Virginia has threatened to mobilize the National Guard to impose gun control on Virginia's residents...

Every time you have given away my tax dollars to the United Nations, they have used it to try to chip away at my rights and our country's sovereignty. This time is no different.

It is time to pull the plug. I am demanding that you endorse the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. This legislation would pull the plug on all UN funding, except for the funds necessary to facilitate a withdrawal. It would rescind the diplomatic immunity granted to UN officials living in the United States and would make it illegal for US soldiers ever again to be placed under UN control.

You swore an oath to defend the Constitution against all foreign enemies. You have a duty to put a stop to the United Nations' assault on the Second Amendment.

If you refuse to honor your oath, I will replace you with someone who will!
