United Nations Begins Cracking Down on Free Speech

The United Nations just received its first batch of US tax dollars under the recently passed spending bill. Just days after cashing the check, the UN advanced a radical resolution to create a new UN body to govern internet "crime."

By "crime," they mean speech. The UN is creating an international body to monitor and govern online speech.

It was pushed through by both China and Russia, countries that routinely arrest and jail people for criticizing the government online. Now, they want to bring their anti-free policies worldwide.

Every time that the UN has received American tax dollars, they have used them to chip away at our rights and our sovereignty.

Even though Congress passed the spending bill, there is still time to stop the rest of the funds from being disbursed to these UN radicals!

You and your colleagues recently passed a spending bill that re-authorizes America's contribution to the United Nations.

Just days after receiving the first payments, the UN is already using my tax dollars to chip away at our rights and sovereignty.

The United Nations just voted to create a new Convention on Cybercrime. The Convention would create global standards, modeled off of cybercrime laws in China and Russia. They aren't even pretending to mask their intentions. This new UN Convention would criminalize free speech.

Why is it that every time you give the United Nations money, they use it to attack our freedoms and liberties?

Why do you keep funding this radicalism?

The full funding has now been disbursed to the UN yet. There is still time to put a stop to this.

I am demanding that you join Rep. Mike Rodgers and pass the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. This legislation would pull the plug on US contributions to the UN, except for the funds necessary to facilitate a withdrawal. It would also block the UN from ever gaining control over US servicemen and women, and remove diplomatic immunity protections that have been given to UN officials.

It is time to start putting America First. That means defunding the United Nations...

This latest attack on our free speech rights proves what we have known all along. The UN is incompatible with America's freedoms and liberties.

Now, it is time for you to pick a side.

You swore an oath to defend the US Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The United Nations is now using American tax dollars to create a commission to criminalize online free speech.
