While all eyes were on impeachment this month, your colleagues tried to rush a massive amnesty giveaway bill through Congress. They had hoped to pass it in both chambers before the American people realized what they were doing.

The Senate refused to take up the bill, and its supporters are saying that they will want to make major changes to the Farm Workforce Modernization Act. That means that it will need to receive another vote in both chambers before it can pass.

You must stop this legislation from becoming law.

The bill starts by giving complete amnesty to illegal aliens who work in the agricultural industry. But since they are, by definition, "undocumented," there is no way to prove who they are and where they work. Any illegal aliens would be able to receive amnesty simply by claiming to work on a farm.

But the bill goes even further. It would also extend amnesty to the farm worker's immediate family. So if one parent works on a farm, their spouse and children would be protected from deportation and granted permanent residency.

Again, because they are undocumented, there is no way to prove family relation. The government would have no choice but to accept their claims.

And as if it couldn't get worse, after offering amnesty and permanent residency, the bill would create a pathway to citizenship for these people as well.

Your colleagues know that they will not be able to push one big amnesty bill through. So, they want to pass it piece by piece. After this agricultural bill, they have other legislation lined up to grant amnesty to illegal aliens working in the food/service and hospitality industries as well.

You swore an oath to represent your constituents. You went to Washington DC to vote on behalf of the American citizens who elected you. You are supposed to be voting on legislation to address the challenges and problems facing American families, not devising new ways to grant amnesty to illegal aliens.

This bill will need to be voted on again. I am warning you: voting for this amnesty giveaway bill is political suicide.

If you vote for this legislation, or help it pass in any way, you will be removed from office.
