The House of Representatives impeached President Donald Trump. According to the Constitution, President Trump now has a right to a trial in the Senate where he can mount a legal defense and clear his name. The Constitution gives the Senate the sole power to conduct the impeachment trial.

But in order for that to happen, the House must transmit the Impeachment Resolution to the Senate and the Speaker of the House must name the team of prosecutors who will argue the House's case during the trial.

Pelosi is refusing to do either of that. After proclaiming that there was an urgent need to rush impeachment through as fast as possible, Pelosi is now refusing to allow the impeachment trial to begin in the Senate. She claims that the Senate will not be fair to Democrats, even though Mitch McConnell is advocating the same rules package that governed the Clinton trial...

Nancy Pelosi is demanding that McConnell allow Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to help craft the rules. After shutting Republicans out of the impeachment process in the House, Pelosi is ordering the Senate to afford the minority additional rights. It is absolutely shameful.

Under the Senate rules, two things need to happen to begin the impeachment trial. The Impeachment Resolution has to be walked 500 feet across the Capitol Building and delivered to the Senate, and Nancy Pelosi has to name the House's "managers" who will prosecute the case.

It doesn't specify, though, who must deliver the impeachment articles. The Clerk certified the vote count. The impeachment resolution and the vote count is now a matter of public record. Anyone can walk the impeachment articles across Statuary Hall and deliver them to the Senate. I am demanding that you fight back against Nancy Pelosi's latest scheme and deliver the articles of impeachment yourself!

And in the Senate, Pelosi can be stopped simply by changing the Senate Rules. No one ever envisioned that a Speaker of the House would be so consumed with hatred towards the President that she would refuse to allow an impeachment trial to begin.

But the Senate can put a stop to this madness easily. Right now, the Senate rules require the Speaker of the House to name the team of prosecutors before the trial can begin. But if the rules are changed, to allow the trial to begin with or without the House prosecutors' involvement, then Pelosi's scheme will fail.

Imagine if a defendant was indicted but denied his or her day in court and a chance to clear their name because the prosecutors refused to show up to court... If this happened to anyone else, the prosecutors would be thrown into jail and the defendant would be cleared of all charges.

But because it is Donald Trump, Democrats like Pelosi think they can violate his Constitutional rights and block him from having his trial.

You must fight back against this clear lawlessness!

I don't care what it takes. You must deliver the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate and change the rules to put a stop to Nancy Pelosi's delay tactics.

If you will not fight back against this clear lawlessness, then I will have no choice but to assume you support it and dedicate my life to removing you from office!
