Border wall construction crews are now completing approximately one mile of new wall every single day. By the end of next year, the administration now expects to complete between 450 and 500 miles of NEW border wall.

For the first time in my life, we have a President who is willing to do whatever is necessary to secure the Southern Border. Republicans and Democrats have spent decades promising to secure the border. But only Trump has made good on that promise.

Because of your inaction, President Trump had no choice but to declare a national emergency to move the border wall construction forward. After reprogramming military construction and drug interdiction funds, the Pentagon now estimates that more than 470 miles of new border wall will go up over the next year.

The President is doing exactly what you promised, but failed to deliver. By the end of his first term, Trump will have more than doubled the pedestrian fencing at the border.

All you have to do is just let him finish the job.

But many of your colleagues are desperate to stop the President from securing the border. They care more about scoring political points against Trump than they care about keeping the American people safe.

This week, your colleagues will begin advancing versions of the National Defense Authorization Act and Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act that would pull the plug on all border wall construction.

The poison pill amendments stipulate that Federal funds "may not be obligated, expended, or otherwise used to design or carry out a project to construct, replace, or modify a wall, fence, or other physical barrier along the international border between the United States and Mexico.” The anti-wall amendments are so radical that they would even outlaw border fence repairs. So, if migrants or smugglers damage a section of border wall, Homeland Security would not be allowed to spend even a cent to repair it...

Where the new border wall sections have gone up, Border Patrol agents have reported a sharp decrease in illegal crossings. Instead of having to deal with the waves of migrants in these sectors, agents have been able to focus on apprehending more human and drug smugglers. By all definitions, the border wall is working.

But if your colleagues are able to push these bills through and claw back the funding, all of the border wall construction would shut down.

Enough with the games. You either support securing the border, or you don't.

You either care about stopping the drugs from pouring into this country and killing tens of thousands of Americans every year, or you don't.

You either care about stopping the terrorists, criminals, and human traffickers from entering our country, or you don't.

There is no middle ground when it comes to securing the border.

Let me make myself absolutely clear. It doesn't matter who you are. Any Congressman or Senator who dares vote to cancel border wall construction will be removed from office.
