Instead of passing an appropriations package, you and your colleagues have decided to kick the can down the road. The new government funding deadline will now be December 20th, which is Christmas week. This is by design.

Your Democrat colleagues have long said they plan to use the threat of a government shutdown to force Republicans and the President to cave to their demands. This new continuing resolution now gives the Left even more leverage. If the government shuts down on December 20th, then government employees (including military families) will miss their Christmas-week paychecks.

Instead of just holding the country's national security and defense funding hostage, now your colleagues want to threaten to inflict pain on military families in order to get what they want. It is despicable.

What do your colleagues want? They want you to pass an immigration package known as the McCain Plan: it would grant full amnesty and a pathway to citizenship to millions of illegal aliens and simultaneously pull the plug on all border wall construction funding.

This is the most radical immigration proposal yet. Not only would it reward illegal aliens, including convicted criminals, with American citizenship, but it would make it illegal for the Trump administration to even try to keep illegal aliens out of the country.

Yes, the plan that Pelosi and the Democrats are demanding would grant amnesty and a pathway to citizenship to illegal aliens as long as they have not committed more than four crimes...

And the provisions designed to cut off border wall funding would make it illegal for the administration to spend even a cent to build, renovate, or repair border barriers. It is so radical that it would prohibit Border Patrol from even repairing damaged sections of existing wall...

This is the most dangerous immigration plan that Democrats have ever even put forward. But this is the one they are currently demanding.

They are threatening to shut down the Federal government and deny millions of government employees their Christmas paychecks unless you bow down to their immigration demands.

The only thing these people care about is scoring political points against the President. They don't care about how many people they hurt. They only want to hurt Trump. It is despicable.

You need to fight back against this with everything you've got. I don't care what it takes, you CANNOT allow this radical plan to pass.

You MUST protect the border wall funding and you MUST stop this plan to give illegal alien convicted criminals a pathway to citizenship.

Anything less and you will be removed from office. That I can promise you...
