On November 21, the Federal government's funding will run out. If you and your colleagues do not pass 12 new appropriations packages by then, the Federal government will shut down.

Democrats want to use the threat of a government shutdown to force you to kill the funding to Trump's border wall construction projects.

House Democrats have slipped in two amendments that, if passed, would pull the plug on the border wall project.

The first amendment is found in Section 227 of the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2020. The second anti-wall amendment is found in Section 2801 of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2020.

Together, these provisions would block Border Patrol from building or repairing any border wall sections and claw back all of the funding that has been reprogrammed through Donald Trump's national emergency order.

These amendments are both just one sentence long, but if they are passed as is, they would put an end to all border wall construction immediately.

This is absolutely disgusting. Your colleagues are holding the country's national security and defense hostage in order to score political points against the President. They want to deny Trump a victory, even if that means hurting the country.

They don't care about the drugs and crime that pours across the border and victimizes innocent Americans... They don't care about the military families and government employees who will be forced to enter the Christmas season without a paycheck if the shutdown happens...

They only care about defeating Donald Trump, by any means necessary.

You are better than this. There is nothing controversial about the border wall. Every President, Republican and Democrat, since Ronald Reagan has approved new border barrier construction.

I am demanding that you strip these anti-wall provisions out of the final spending package.

If you allow either of these amendments to survive, or if you pass any bill designed to hinder or stop border wall construction, you will be removed from office.

Please, heed my warning...
