The White House has made their position clear: the President is willing to sign any clean continuing resolution to keep the government funded, as long as it does not include poison pill amendments designed to shut down border wall construction.

A co-equal branch of government has announced what it will take to avoid another government shut down. You need to pass a spending package that leaves the funding in Trump's border wall national emergency intact.

Many of your colleagues, however, are itching for a fight. They are desperate to block the border wall from going up and they realize that the upcoming spending package is the only leverage they have to do it.

Your colleagues are now holding the our national security hostage to try to score a victory against President Trump. They are threatening to shut down the entire Federal government, including the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security, unless you pass their anti-border wall amendments.

This never used to be a partisan issue. When Barack Obama was a Senator, he voted to build a wall along the Southern Border. So did Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi. But now that Donald Trump is actually building it, they are desperate to shut the construction down completely.

It is absolutely disgusting that Congress is playing politics with our national security like this. You CANNOT allow this to happen!

Border Patrol agents are reporting record decreases in illegal border crossings and smuggling in the sectors with new border wall going up. President Trump has only built 90 miles of new wall, and it is already having a positive impact. By this time next year, the administration plans to have completed 500 miles of new wall.

And now you want to shut it all down?

Please pay attention, because this is important: If you dare vote for any bill or measure that cancels the border wall funding, you will pay the price.

If you put politics above national security and vote for any of the Left's anti-border wall spending amendments, I will not rest until you are removed from office.

That is not a threat, it is a promise.

Please, do not test me...
