The United Nations is warning that they are running out of money. Unless they come up with hundreds of millions of dollars by the end of the month, they will have to start shutting down programs in order to keep the lights on...

The UN is now begging you and your colleagues to not only restore the funding that President Trump cut, but to also increase it as well.

No. Absolutely not.

But many of your colleagues are promising to save the United Nations from bankruptcy. Tucked away within the State Department, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act are a number of poison pill UN funding amendments. I am demanding that you kill each and every one of them.

First of all, the Left's bill would lift the legal cap on how much the United States can donate to the UN. By law, the United States cannot contribute more than 25% of the UN's operating budget. Democrats want to abolish this cap and increase funding to the UN.

But the legislation also identifies the individual programs that Trump cut and promises to restore their funding to Obama-levels.

If this bill passes as-is, Trump would be blocked from withdrawing from the Paris Climate Treaty and he would have to make good on the billions that Obama promised the UN. The bill would also undo Pres. Trump's Mexico City Policy and give over $55 million toward the United Nations' abortion programs abroad.

The bill would also restore hundreds of millions to anti-American and anti-Israeli programs like the Global Migration Pact, Palestinian Refugee Agency, the UN Human Rights Council, and UNESCO.

If these poison pill amendments pass, it would be like Obama never even left office...

President Trump made these cuts to put America first. He targeted the UN agencies and departments that violate our sovereignty and cut off their funding. The President told the UN that they would get their funding back if they reformed. But instead, they are running to your Democrat colleagues and begging them to undo all of Trump's cuts!

You CANNOT allow this to happen! I am demanding that you strip all of these UN funding amendments from the State Department Appropriations bill.

When Barack Obama couldn't get parts of his agenda through Congress, he turned to the UN to impose it on the American people anyway. When President Trump took office, he pulled the plug on the UN's anti-American agenda. And now your colleagues want to give it all back...

Let me be absolutely clear: If you vote for this package and surrender even more of my tax dollars to the United Nations, you will be removed from office.

It is time for you to put America first. If you can't bring yourself to honor your oath, then you need to step aside...
