The Army Corps of Engineers and Department of Homeland Security just awarded a contract to construct 65 additional miles of border wall. The Pentagon now estimates that President Trump's national emergency order will result in 505 miles of new border wall along the US-Mexico border by the end of next September.

This is what Democrats and Republicans have promised for decades, but failed to deliver. We finally have a President who is willing to do whatever is necessary to secure the border, and now you want to stop him?

Last week, your colleagues in the House and Senate voted to cancel the border wall emergency and strip all of the funding from the construction projects. President Trump has already said that he will veto the resolution, but your anti-border wall colleagues aren't done.

They have now slipped two amendments into the National Defense Authorization Act and Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act designed to claw-back the border wall project's funding.

In the Homeland Security bill, the amendment is found in Section 227. It reads that "no Federal funds may be used for the construction of physical barriers along the southern land border of the United States during fiscal year 2020."

And in the NDAA, the poison pill amendment is found in Section 2801, declaring that “military construction funds may not be obligated, expended, or otherwise used to design or carry out a project to construct, replace, or modify a wall, fence, or other physical barrier along the international border between the United States and Mexico.”

Both of these amendments would make border wall construction illegal. Even projects that are already underway would be forced to shut down if either of these provisions pass.

Now, the Left is threatening to shut down the government unless you agree to revoke all border wall construction funds. They are literally holding our national security and defense hostage unless you agree to help them score a political victory against the President.

That is what this is all about. The Left is desperate to deliver Trump a loss on the border wall, even if it means putting American lives in danger. It is disgusting.

Enough is enough. You must kill these two amendments and protect President Trump's border wall construction funding by any means necessary.

If you won't take a stand, you have no business serving in ANY capacity, and you will have to be removed from office!
