Nancy Pelosi just pulled the Homeland Security funding bill. Radicals in her party demanded more ICE and Border Patrol budget cuts, and Pelosi agreed.

The Left is now trying to pull the plug on immigration enforcement all together. Their bill blocks ICE from detaining illegal aliens caught at the border and prevents the President from catching and deporting illegal aliens who get away.

This past week, Nancy Pelosi pulled the Homeland Security Appropriations Act from the floor.

DHS is set to run out of funding before the end of the fiscal year, sometime in late August or early September. This is because of the illegal immigration surge at the border. ICE and Border Patrol have had to burn through their budgets in order to handle the surge of migrants.

Congress may have passed a $4.6 billion border bill last month, but almost all of that went to Health and Human Services to care for illegal aliens. Practically none of the funding went towards immigration enforcement.

And now that ICE is begging for funding to be able to enforce the country's immigration laws, the Leadership refused to hold the vote.

Make no mistake: your colleagues are holding our national security hostage in order to further their immigration agenda.

Open Border Democrats want to cut ICE's detention and deportation funding. That would limit ICE's ability to detain illegal aliens caught crossing the border and block the agency from launching deportation raids against illegal aliens who are fugitives from justice.

And if you don't agree to these radical demands, they're threatening to let the agency run out of money and shut down...

There is no negotiating with this. We either have a border, or we don't. We either have immigration laws, or we don't

You cannot negotiate with someone who wants to simply block the President from enforcing our immigration laws.

Congress passed all of these immigration laws. You have an obligation to give the President the funding necessary to enforce them.

I am demanding that you kill each and every amendment designed to cut or re-direct ICE's funding away from its enforcement mission. The Homeland Security Appropriations Act must be clean. No "poison pill" strings attached.
