Breaking: Democrats Advancing their Backdoor Gun Ban Package!

The 4th of July celebrates brave American patriots who refused to surrender their arms to a tyrannical government 243 years ago and instead, chose to wage war against the most powerful military in the world to win their independence. The 2nd Amendment was written after the war specifically to make sure that English-style gun control would never be possible in the United States. Since then, however, gun control advocates have worked around the clock to try to chip away at the 2nd Amendment's protections.

Whenever someone comes to you and asks you to vote for a "compromise" gun control bill, you must do everything in your power to kill the legislation. What is amazing is that the only "compromise" in these bills is that the Left promises not to ban all guns or go after all gun owners. They are more than happy to play the long game...

That is what they are doing with their latest "compromise" package. They have designed three bills to look harmless on their own but, together, they set the stage for a nationwide gun ban. I am demanding that you kill each of these pieces of legislation.

The first bill is H.R.3285 / S.1844, the Handgun Purchaser Licensing Act. This legislation would require Americans to receive a permit before they are allowed to purchase a handgun, and only from a licensed dealer. Of course, the bill gives bureaucrats the power to reject these applications. Not only would these permits create a database to be used in future confiscation programs, but the bill also sets the stage for the government to restrict how many guns someone should be allowed to buy...

But this bill alone is powerless if Americans can still build their own guns. That is why you also need to kill H.R.3268 / S.1831, the 3D Printed Gun Safety Act. This bill would make it illegal to possess, use, or share blueprints or plans detailing how to build a gun. Already, some of your colleagues are trying to add amendments to this bill to ban homemade guns all together. If this passes too, then Americans would be forced to go through the new handgun permitting scheme.

But that apparently isn't enough. Gun control advocates have also just introduced H.R.3214 / S.1779, the Equal Justice to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act. This bill would repeal the PLCAA and allow gun control groups to file fraudulent and frivolous lawsuits against the gun industry whenever a firearm is used in a crime. If someone murders another person with a hammer, the victim's family isn't allowed to sue Home Depot. Currently, the law applies the same protections to gun stores. If H.R.3214 and S.1779 pass, then gun control advocates would be able to sue gun dealers and manufacturers into bankruptcy.

Together, these three bills represent the largest threat to the 2nd Amendment that we have seen in years. That is because many of your colleagues believe that these are "common sense" proposals. They are not.

The package would outlaw homemade guns and force everyone to buy a registered and permitted gun from a licensed dealer. But it then gives gun control organizations the power to use frivolous lawsuits to bankrupt those dealers!

I don't care what it takes. You need to kill each and every one of these bills. You swore an oath to defend the Constitution against all of its domestic enemies. That includes protecting the 2nd Amendment from your colleagues!

The Declaration of Independence was clear that the American people have a right to remove politicians who try to violate our God-given rights. Mark my words: If you allow this horrible backdoor gun control package to pass, you will be removed from office.
