Do you remember the oath you swore when you entered Congress? You swore to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

So why on earth are you letting your colleagues push through this radical new gun confiscation package?

Republicans and Democrats have been negotiating for over a year on an Extreme Risk Protection Order bill that would allow police to disarm innocent Americans before they are even charged with crimes. Third parties like vengeful exes, estranged family members, or spiteful neighbors would suddenly get the power to turn gun owners into police.

Instead of proving that someone broke the law or adjudicating them mentally defective, this compromise bill would allow the government to use hearsay to justify disarming innocent gun owners. And disarmed gun owners would only get a chance to defend themselves in court after the confiscation order is executed.

Our country was built on a premise that all Americans are innocent until proven guilty. But this bill presumes that gun owners are guilty until they are proven innocent.

The "compromise" is that instead of creating a national gun confiscation program, this new bill would give states Federal funding to build 50 state-level confiscation programs.

You cannot allow this bill to pass. If it does, it will be abused. Americans will have their rights violated by this package and you will be responsible.

This isn't a "compromise." Putting the 2nd Amendment on the chopping block is not a "compromise." Allowing the government to fast-track gun confiscations is not a "compromise."

You need to kill this Red Flag bill right now. You must fight back and block this entire package.

You swore an oath to defend our constitutional rights. That includes the 2nd Amendment. If you won't defend the Constitution, then you are an enemy of the Constitution and will be treated as such...
