The Democrats are making good on their promise to restore the United Nations's funding. They just rushed a bill through subcommittee not only ending Trump's UN funding cuts, but also paying the UN back all of the hundreds of millions that Trump cut over the past two years.

They are trying to undo all of the progress and give the United Nations more American tax dollars than even Obama dared to consider.

And not only would we be permanently re-added to the UN's radical climate treaty, but American soldiers would once again be forced to fight overseas under the UN flag.

This is the biggest threat to America's sovereignty in years. And the GOP is already saying they're willing to compromise and try to meet the Democrats somewhere in the middle.

President Trump won the 2016 on a number of very simple promises. One of them was to put America first and to stop funding United Nations programs that are wasteful or contrary to our interests.

Over the past two years, Trump has cut hundreds of millions in UN funding. He has withdrawn from the UN's Paris Climate Treaty, stopping the final $1 billion that Obama promised from being disbursed. He cut funding to UNESCO, the UN Human Rights Council, and other anti-American and anti-Israeli United Nations bodies.

He cut American contributions to peacekeeping operations in half and ended the practice of American soldiers fighting overseas under the United Nations flag.

And Trump gutted over a billion in funding to the United Nations Population Fund, the largest abortion provider and referrer in the world.

This is what America First looks like. So why are you allowing the House of Representatives' State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee to end these cuts, increase the UN's funding, and give them back the hundreds of millions of dollars that Trump cut?

How dare you allow these provisions to even make it to a committee vote?

You need to put an end to this now. One of these horrible amendments would prevent the United States from ever withdrawing from the Paris Climate Treaty. Barack Obama signed the treaty without even putting it to a ratification vote!

You were elected to serve the American people, not to funnel our hard earned tax dollars overseas to United Nations programs that are NOT in our national interests.
