President Trump won the 2016 election on a number of promises. But all of them revolved around a single message: it was time to put America, and Americans, first. Every foreign policy decision that the Trump administration has made followed this simple creed.

The President announced massive cuts to the United Nations' budget and threatened more if the organization didn't reform and end corruption. Trump withdrew from the United Nations' Paris Climate Treaty and Small Arms Treaty, two UN programs that Obama signed and funded without Congressional approval. UN organizations like UNESCO and UNRWA saw their funding completely cut after they were caught taking action against America's allies.

Then, Trump turned to US foreign aid recipients. He slashed aid to countries like Pakistan and Palestine that were caught supporting terror organizations. Then, the State Department cut off all foreign aid to Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador after they were caught aiding and abetting the illegal alien caravans.

The message is simple: if you want American foreign aid, then you need to truly be America's ally. Any country that stands against us or our interests will be cut off.

The President's carrot and stick diplomacy worked. Threats of aid cuts and economic sanctions forced Mexico to begin deporting illegal alien caravans before they can reach the US border. Even the United Nations has been reforming to try to stop Trump from cutting even more.

President Trump submitted his budget to you this past month and it includes provisions to make these foreign aid cuts permanent. All told, his budget calls for a 23% reduction in UN and foreign aid for next year. This would free up billions in funding.

Your colleagues, however, are promising to block him by any means necessary.

Democrats and Republicans on the House and Senate Appropriations Committees are teaming up to not only block these foreign aid cuts, but to restore them all to Obama-era spending levels.

They want to revert back as if the American people never voted to put America first...

This is a mistake and if you go through with it, I promise that you will face the wrath of the American voters.

You need to protect President Trump's foreign aid cuts, not dismantle them. You need to tell the world that US foreign aid comes with strings attached, not promise our enemies to fund them no matter what.

If you aren't willing to put America First, then you are unfit to serve in any capacity and must be removed!
