Last year, Establishment Republicans were caught pushing through an amendment that would open the borders and grant asylum to any illegal alien claiming to be a victim of gang or domestic violence. Conservatives like you rallied to block this plan and the GOP Congressmen behind it were removed from office.

Now that Democrats are resurrecting the amendment, the GOP knows that they can't afford to be caught supporting this betrayal. So, instead, they are planning to sit on their hands and allow Pelosi and the Democrats to push it through without objection.

Last year, a number of your former colleagues tried to sneak an amendment through expanding our asylum laws to include granting asylum to victims of domestic and gang violence. I call them your 'former' colleagues because voters found out about the plan and voted them out of office because of it.

The amendment, supported by Rep. David Price and then-Rep. Kevin Yoder, would allow uncorroborated claims of domestic abuse and gang violence to qualify illegal aliens and migrants for asylum.

Instead of having to prove that they are being targeted or persecuted by an oppressive regime, asylum seekers would only need to claim spousal abuse to be allowed into the US. They wouldn't even need to produce proof. All they would need to do is mention domestic violence and they'd be in.

This is insane. Not only would it give legitimate asylum claims to billions of people, but it would be impossible to enforce. Anyone could simply claim victimhood and Border Patrol would be obligated to let them into the US...

The last Congress realized that this was untenable. Some Members of Congress tried to sneak it through anyway and they were voted out. The last thing this country needs is another asylum loophole for illegal aliens to abuse.

Amazingly, however, your Democrat colleagues are trying to resurrect this proposal. They want to sneak it through so they can finally open up the borders.

You know this is national suicide. But if you allow the Price amendment to pass, then you need to understand that you will be committing political suicide as well.

It isn't enough to simply vote against this. You must do everything in your power and use every tool at your disposal to kill this horrible plan. Anything less and you will be removed from office.
