You swore an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That includes putting an end to the latest gun confiscation bill making its way through Congress.

Senate Bill 7 is disgusting. The Extreme Risk Protection Act and Violence Prevention Act would allow state and local police to confiscate Americans' firearms without even needing to accuse them of breaking the law.

Angry neighbors and family members would suddenly get the power to turn gun owners into police. Officers and prosecutors would then be able to use this hearsay to petition a judge for a confiscation order.

Police would show up at the gun owners house, without any warning, and confiscate all of their firearms and ammunition. If they want to get their rights back, they need to convince a judge that they are innocent.

Instead of presumed innocence, S. 7 creates presumed guilt for gun owners. Without even accusing someone of a crime or mental defect, judges would get the power to extend this disarmament order for up to one year.

You cannot allow this bill to pass. If it does, it will be abused. Americans will have their rights violated by this package and you will be responsible.

This isn't a "compromise." Putting the 2nd Amendment on the chopping block is not a "compromise." Allowing the government to fast-track gun confiscations is not a "compromise."

You need to kill Senate Bill 7 right now. You must fight back and block this entire package.

You swore an oath to defend our constitutional rights. That includes the 2nd Amendment. If you won't defend the Constitution, then you are an enemy of the Constitution. And you will be removed from office.
