The CDC estimates that hundreds of babies are born alive every year after botched abortion procedures. The number is impossible to pinpoint because of lax reporting requirements, but the CDC knows the number is higher than the dozen or so that are officially reported.

Is there anyone among us more vulnerable than a baby born-alive after an abortion procedure? When these babies are born into this world, there isn't a single person in that room that wants them to survive. These newborns are literally surrounded by doctors and nurses that, minutes earlier, had tried to kill them.

Why won't you protect them?

The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act is common sense. Doctors and nurses would be required to provide life-saving and resuscitative care to any baby born alive after an abortion procedure. Neglect would become a felony.

We know that these babies need Federal law to protect them. This is not an anti-abortion bill, it is an anti-infanticide bill. We are talking about US citizens here... So I will ask it again... why won't you protect them?

If you will not stand up to protect the most vulnerable Americans among us, then you have absolutely NO right to serve in any capacity.

You may think it is fine to kill newborn babies, but your constituents certainly do not. If you vote against this common-sense bill or try to block it in anyway, I swear that you will come to regret it...
