Open border Democrats and Republicans are moving forward with their Resolution of Disapproval to override President Trump's emergency declaration and block the border wall project.

From 1976 to today, there have been over 50 national emergency declarations. Most were done to protect foreign countries, not the United States. None of them were ever challenged by Congress or in the Courts.

President Trump used his lawful powers under the National Emergencies Act of 1976 to declare the southern border crisis to be a national emergency. Had he used this power to build a border barrier in Iraq or Syria, you wouldn't care. So why are you so against protecting American citizens?

You appropriated these discretionary funds. You gave the Department of Justice control over drug seizure funds and gave the Pentagon discretionary drug interdiction funding. The only strings attached is that these dollars must be used to fight drug trafficking. The same is true for the Pentagon's MILCON budget. You have given the Executive Branch discretion to use that funding for national security construction projects. Under the NEA of 1976, the President has the power to declare the border wall to be a vital national security and military construction project.

None of this is new. The only thing that is new is the radical opposition to border wall construction we are seeing in both parties.

Why won't you keep Americans safe? Why won't you allow the President to secure the border to stop criminals and drugs from pouring into this country? How many more Americans need to die before you let the President do his job and protect the American people?

You need to step aside and let President Trump do what is necessary to protect the country and the American people. But if a Resolution of Disapproval comes to the floor for a vote, you MUST do everything in your power to vote it down. And under NO circumstance can you allow Congress to override a Presidential veto.

You swore an oath to protect the American people, not illegal aliens, cartels, and cross-border traffickers. If you dare vote against President Trump's national emergency declaration, it will be clear that you represent them, not us. If you vote to block the border wall, or simply sit on your hands and let it pass, I swear I will dedicate every waking hour to your political defeat!
