Yesterday, President Trump announced from the Oval Office that he will not sign any spending package that does not include border wall funding. The government will remain shutdown until Congress approves the wall.

Keeping the government running is one of your most basic duties as a Member of Congress. And yet, the government remains closed.

Your colleagues on the Left are refusing to pass any border wall funding whatsoever, even though they agreed to $1.6 billion months ago. Establishment Republicans are so terrified of a prolonged government shutdown that they are running to Democrats to try to strike a deal.

This is absolutely shameful. How dare you play politics with national security?

The border wall is not political. It is absolutely vital to this country's security, from terrorism, crime, and drug trafficking.

I need you to understand something, so I am going to say it as clearly as I can: I blame YOU for this shutdown and if you refuse to push the border wall funding through, you will be removed from office!

That is both a threat and a promise.

What President Trump is proposing is adding a few hundred miles of wall and fencing to the Southern Border in the next fiscal year. This is common sense.

And yet, you seem more interested with increasing foreign aid to the very countries aiding and abetting the illegal alien caravans traveling towards the US. There is a proposal on the table to increase foreign aid to Mexico and Central America by more than $10.6 billion.

You and your colleagues have no problem agreeing to spend tax dollars to help other countries secure their borders. But when it comes to our border, we're supposed to believe that there's nothing we can do...

You have one mission and that is to get the wall funded. That is the only way you can end this government shutdown.

If you surrender and vote to leave the border wide open, I will not rest until you are removed from office. That is a threat and a promise.

Fund the border wall now or I swear you will regret it...
