If you think the American people are angry that you let the government shutdown, it will be ten times worse for you if you cave and give up on securing the Southern border.

Tens of thousands of Americans are victimized by the crime and drugs that pour across our Southern border. You swore an oath to protect us against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The border wall is how you do that.

Enforcing the nation's immigration laws and protecting citizens from illegal alien crime and drug trafficking should be common sense. Had a Democrat President proposed this -- as Obama did in 2013 -- then a border wall bill would have passed with a large bipartisan majority. But because it is Trump's proposal, Democrats and Republicans alike want to block it from going through.

This shouldn't be political. But unfortunately, many of your colleagues are more interested in scoring political points than in protecting the American people.

The State Department announced a $10+ billion aid package to Mexico and Central America, which will include funding for them to harden their borders. You and your colleagues have no problem agreeing to spend tax dollars to help other countries secure their borders. But when it comes to our border, we're supposed to believe that there's nothing we can do...

You have one mission and that is to get the wall funded. That is the only way you can end this government shutdown.

If you surrender and vote to leave the border wide open, I will not rest until you are removed from office. That is a threat and a promise.

Fund the border wall now or I swear you will regret it...
