GOP leaders are trying to run for the exits. After two years of kicking the can down the road on border wall funding, they are scrambling to block the wall one last time before handing over the House to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats.

This is absolutely shameful.

President Trump looked right into the camera and told the entire country that he would shutdown the government if Congress did not fully fund the border wall.

That should have been all you needed to hear. The President of the United States declared that the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act you and your colleagues are working on is dead on arrival as currently written.

So why aren't you compromising? Why are you pushing forward with a funding bill you know will get vetoed?

This shouldn't be hard. On any given day, Democrats and Republicans can find any number of pet projects to throw billions of dollars at. Nancy Pelosi has announced her intention to bring back earmarks in the next Congress. This isn't about the money, and you know it.

This is about defeating the President, no matter the cost.

I don't care what you think of the President. You swore an oath to keep the American safe from all enemies, foreign and domestic. That includes the crime, drugs, disease, and terrorism that is streaming across the US-Mexico border.

This isn't a game. Every day, Americans are victimized by illegal aliens. Drug overdoses in this country have reached an epidemic level. And it is all because YOU refuse to secure the border.

President Trump is not backing down. He isn't threatening anymore. He is promising to veto any spending bill that tries to defund or block the border wall funding. The President is even promising to declare a state of emergency and have the military complete the project if you and your colleagues refuse to authorize it.

It is time for you to do your duty and vote to secure the border and protect the American people. That is your top priority.

Anything less is a gross betrayal. If you will not approve the wall funding, then you are not fit to hold any public office and I will not rest until you are removed from office!
