The caravan continues to trickle into Tijuana. On Monday, there were 85 caravan migrants at the border. Today, that number has swelled to over 2,200 and continues to grow by the hour.

We are already seeing illegal aliens scaling the border fence and trying to break into the country. There is next to no Border Patrol presence there.

This isn't an accident. You caused this. Over the past two years, you voted for spending packages that deliberately tied President Trump's hands. You refused to authorize funding to hire border patrol agents, build detention centers, upgrade existing fencing, or construct new border wall segments.

And now, you and your colleagues want to do it again.

GOP leadership is floating an absolutely shameful plan to pass a continuing resolution to keep blocking border wall construction. With the caravan literally at the gates, they want to punt and give Nancy Pelosi the power to decide how to deal with it.

She has already promised to block border wall funding from ever passing. Pelosi will never authorize border wall funding, just like she defunded the Secure Fence Act back in 2006.

The spending bill due by December 7 is quite literally your last chance to secure the border and fund the border wall. Please, seize this opportunity.

Years from now, future generations will learn about this fight to secure the border. What do you want the history books to say?
