For the first time, Robert Mueller is being forced to conclude his witch hunt. Trump appointed Matt Whitaker as acting-Attorney General and within 24 hours, Robert Mueller and his team started writing their final report.

Many of your colleagues are terrified of this. They want Mueller to investigate Trump through the end of his Presidency. They don't think that 18 months is long enough at all.

The fact of the matter is that despite all of the indictments filed, none of them allege any collusion with the Russian government. Even when Mueller has charged Russian intelligence officials, the indictments clarify that they acted alone, without any witting American collaborators.

There's nothing left to find. You know it, I know it, and Robert Mueller knows it. That is why he has expanded his probe far beyond the original scope. Mueller is now investigating Trump's own children to try to pressure the President into "confessing." It's a clear red line and shows Mueller is desperate to find something, anything, to justify his probe's existence. So, acting-AG Whitaker is telling Mueller to wrap it up and publish his findings.

But now, just as we are finally seeing progress, some of your colleagues are trying to push through legislation that would allow Mueller to investigate the President indefinitely. Senate Bill 2644, the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act, would make Robert Mueller the most powerful person in the Executive Branch. No one in the Executive Branch would be allowed to shut Mueller down. Only a Federal judge would have the power to tell Mueller to wrap it up or end his probe.

No one has ever voted for Robert Mueller. He was not confirmed by Congress to hold this DOJ position. One man -- Rod Rosenstein -- appointed him to investigate the President. Now, Congress wants to make Mueller even more powerful?

Absolutely not!

Jeff Flake and Chris Coons are going to try to force a vote on this bill on Monday. You CANNOT let them get away with this.

Mueller is writing his final report. After 18 months, he is finally being forced to wrap it up.

Do not let these Leftists give him a blank check to investigate Trump indefinitely!
