The United Nations has just crossed another line. UN Human Rights officials have declared that Donald Trump, and his supporters, are violating international human rights law by ridiculing CNN for being fake news.

Just as CNN and its reporters have a 1st Amendment right to report the news, the rest of America has a 1st Amendment right to criticize them for it. But the UN believes that calling CNN fake news is tantamount to violence.

"These attacks run counter to the country's obligations to respect press freedom and international human rights law," the UN statement read.

I have a simple question: why are you funding this? Why are you propping up the United Nations and its anti-American agenda?

Every year, US taxpayers send $3+ billion to the United Nations. Our tax dollars make up 22% of the organization's funding. It has to stop.

Over the past year and a half, we have seen just how desperate the United Nations has become. Without the full support of the Obama administration, it is a lot harder for the UN to impose its will on America.

Whether it was the UN Arms Trade Treaty, the Climate Treaty, the CTBT, or even its resolutions against Israel, the UN and Obama administration would team up to deliberately bypass Congress and the US Constitution.

It is time to put an end to this.

Mark Meadows, the Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, has just declared that it is time to fully defund the United Nations. He is pushing for HR193, the American Sovereignty Restoration Act, to be included in this year's appropriations bill. The legislation is simple. It would cut all US funding to the United Nations. The only funding that would allowed would be to facilitate the United States' formal withdrawal from the UN.

For far too long, American taxpayers have been on the hook for funding UN programs that are deliberately designed to be against the United States' interests.

You need to shut this down.

I don't care what it takes. You must pass HR193 and defund the United Nations once and for all!
