Breaking: House Conservatives Approve Massive Border Wall Bill, Dems Vow to Block

This is big news. The House Homeland Security Subcommittee just approved an appropriations bill that would dedicate $5 billion for a border wall and other border security enhancements.

The GOP leadership has spent the past year and a half trying to block the border wall from ever being built. If they stop the border wall funding this time, then the wall will not be built at all during Trump's first term.

That is what is at stake here. In the next few weeks, Congress will decide whether or not a border wall ever gets built.

The House Homeland Security Subcommittee just approved an appropriation bill that includes $5 billion for border wall construction and other border security measures.

You must do everything in your power to ensure that this funding reaches President Trump's desk intact.

For the last year and a half, we have seen Congressional leadership block border wall funding no less than eight times. Every time a government funding bill came up for a vote, Ryan and McConnell would leave the border wall on the cutting room floor.

That ends today.

President Trump has moved the money around so that he could start border wall construction in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. But that funding is quickly running out. If this appropriation bill is not passed as-written, those border wall projects would be shut down.

I know how important these next appropriation bills are. 2020 is an election year. You and I both know that there won't be any major projects funded during an election year. If the border wall is going to be built during President Trump's first term, then it needs to be funded now.

You're not going to be able to hide behind closed doors on this. The time for talk is over.

Either fund the border wall and President Trump's border security package, or else be removed from office. That is a promise.

When you entered Congress, you put your hand on the Bible and swore an oath to defend the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic. It is time to honor that oath right now or else step aside.

You must authorize full border wall construction and give the President all of the tools and resources he needs to secure the border. The safety and security of the American people is not a bargaining chip. Your commitment is to the American people, not to illegal aliens.

This newly approved appropriation bill would do just that.
