Rod Rosenstein just informed all US attorneys that he needs 93 federal prosecutors to look into Brett Kavanaugh's records. He is trying to launch an investigation into Kavanaugh.

This is a bombshell.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein just took the extraordinary step to conscript 100 Federal prosecutors to "vet" Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Just to be clear, the Trump White House has already vetted Kavanaugh. In the past, the DOJ has used lawyers to look into judicial nominees' records, but never active prosecutors and never as many as 100. Rosenstein wants to use more Federal prosecutors than Robert Mueller even has on his staff.

In 2016, the American people elected Donald Trump as President. They also elected a Republican Senate.

We know that the Deep State despised the American people's choice and used their power to try to undo that Presidential election. Now, it appears that they are trying to do the same with the Senate and their Supreme Court confirmation.

It is wholly out of bounds for the Deputy Attorney General to assign 100 prosecutors to look through a judicial nominee's files. This is shameful.

But what is even more shameful is the fact that you are allowing this to go on.

You have Rosenstein dead to rights. He was subpoenaed for records and refused to hand them all over. Congress exercised its lawful subpoena authority and the Deputy Attorney General defied it. Paul Ryan gave him an additional week to comply and he again defied the order.

Now, he is assigning prosecutors to start looking into Trump's Supreme Court nominee.

Your inaction has consequences. Every day that you allow criminals like Rosenstein or Page to go unpunished, they and others become more emboldened. Rod Rosenstein figured out that he was not being charged with defying a Congressional subpoena, so he is turning his gaze to disrupting Trump's Supreme Court nominee.

You need to shut Rod Rosenstein down. You have the power to shut him down.
