Rod Rosenstein continues to defy Congressional subpoenas for documents. He was given a deadline to comply earlier this week but at the last minute, Paul Ryan stepped in to buy him more time.

Instead of being held in Contempt on Wednesday, Ryan gave Rosenstein until Friday to comply.

Surprising no one, Friday came and went and the DOJ still has not turned over the subpoenaed documents.

It is time to hold Rod Rosenstein in Contempt of Congress. If Rosenstein steps in to stop the US Attorney from prosecuting the case against him, then yes, you must impeach him as well.

The Founders gave you and your colleagues the power to impeach government officials for a reason. Government oversight is one of your constitutional duties and when you find evidence of lawlessness, you have an obligation to remove them. Simply letting them investigate and prosecute themselves is untenable.

Knowing everything we know, it is hard to believe that Rosenstein's actions do not fall under the impeachable "high crimes and misdemeanors."

We see how Rosenstein is allowing Robert Mueller to expand his witch hunt to target Trump supporters for whatever crimes he can find, even if they have nothing to do with the 2016 election.

We've learned that Rosenstein has targeted Congressional staffers and threatened to investigate them if they didn't stop their government oversight work.

And now, we know that Rosenstein is not only refusing to hand over subpoenaed documents, but he and the DOJ are also altering the documents that are handed over to remove incriminating evidence.

Paul Ryan gave Rosenstein until Friday to comply with the subpoena. It was yet another deadline completely ignored.

No more delays. No more waiting.

You must vote to hold Rod Rosenstein in Contempt of Congress and, yes, since we know that Rosenstein will not prosecute himself, you must also hold an impeachment vote!

If you will not hold government officials accountable for clear and obvious crimes, then you have absolutely no business serving in Congress and you will be removed.
