James Comey broke the law.

With the release of his memos -- even the redacted versions -- it is clear that he broke the law.

The memos released were emailed from Comey's office to his deputies. They include an introductory paragraph where Comey talks about how the information was compiled. He says, "I am not sure of the proper classification here, so have chosen SECRET."

Comey knew that these memos contained classified information. As a Classification Authority, he had the power to make them classified (which he chose to do).

Comey wrote seven memos. By his own admission, he leaked four of them.

Four of these seven memos contain classified information. That means that James Comey intentionally leaked Classified information.

Ironically, this is the same Espionage Act crime that Hillary Clinton was investigated for. Comey cleared her because he couldn't find evidence she did it intentionally.

James Comey, on the other hand, testified before oath that he knew exactly what he was doing. His memoir talks about how he intentionally leaked the classified memos.

James Comey broke the law.
