Democrats are promising to block Donald Trump's nominations until they retake Congress. That includes the now THREE vacancies on the socialist-leaning 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

A liberal 9th Circuit judge passed away last week, but his seat isn't being filled. It has been added to the list of hundreds of vacancies that Democrats are obstructing. Senator Dianne Feinstein has promised to block any nominee that doesn't have "California values."

Mitch McConnell cares more about preserving the Senate's rules than he does about taking this country back. The cowards in the GOP leadership are allowing the Left to use every rule they can to obstruct Trump's nominations.

9th Circuit Judge Stephen Reinhardt unexpectedly passed away this week. His death now creates a third vacancy on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Why are there three vacancies? Because Mitch McConnell has clung to the Senate rules and allowed Democrats to keep the other two seats open. In fact, Democrats are blocking hundreds of nominations from being confirmed, both in the Judiciary and Executive Branch.

The Democrats are grossly abusing the "blue slip" policy. Under the Senate rules, the Senators from a judge's state must sign off on the nomination before a full vote can be held. In order for Trump to fill a vacancy in the 9th Circuit, California's Senators must approve. For the past year and a half, liberal Senators have been refusing to hand in their blue slips. Under the rules, that means that the confirmation process has to be stopped in its tracks.

On top of that, they are invoking the 30 hour rule, requiring that all nominations receive a full 30 hours of debate. At this rate, it will take hundreds of days to confirm all of Trump's nominees.

This is madness.

It was Harry Reid who invoked the Nuclear Option to push through Obama's radical nominees. Now that the pendulum has swung and Republicans control Congress, Democrats have perverted the Senate rules to block almost all of Trump's judicial nominees.

This must stop!

Democrats are promising to slow down and block these confirmations as much as possible. They hope that by running out the clock, they can gain more Senate seats in November and permanently block Trump's nominations. They've already blocked hundreds of vacancies from being filled for almost a year and a half. In their minds, they just need to hold out a few more months...

For far too long, the GOP leadership has prioritized the rules over taking this country back. Now is the time to act!

Failure is not an option. You need to bust through this obstruction and get Trump's nominees pushed through. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to remove and replace you.
