Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell tried hard to stop the border wall from being built. They championed amendments from the Democrats limiting how border security funding could be used and what fence designs were approved.  When the Omnibus passed, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer thought they had killed the President's border wall dreams for good.

President Trump found a way.

Construction has already begun and instead of the small 15 foot fencing that previous Presidents used, Trump has begun upgrading the border fence to a 30 foot tall steel wall.

The President is also looking at reclassifying the border wall as a defense project and the White House is looking to fund it through the Pentagon's discretionary budget.

The real question is, why are you and your colleagues trying so hard to keep the border wide open?

Already, some of your colleagues have started working behind the scenes to block the wall from being built. Schumer has promised lawsuits if any more sections of the border wall are built.

You MUST protect this project and allow construction to move forward!

President Trump has the mandate. He stunned the world and defeated not one, but two political dynasties to win the Presidency. He promised to build a wall. That was his core campaign promise. Many of your colleagues think their path to re-election is to oppose Trump's mandate. They are sorely mistaken.

Despite promising to fund the project last year, McConnell and Ryan pushed through an omnibus bill that was designed to provide ZERO funding for border wall construction. They lied to the American people. They tried their hardest to stab us in the back.

President Trump is not turning his back on the American people. He worked the language to allow the wall project to begin.
