It has been almost a month since the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act passed the House of Representatives. Yet, you wouldn't think it given the narrative being pushed by Congressional leadership.

McConnell promised a vote on the bill a week ago. And even though last year's version had 54 votes, technically enough support to pass the Senate, and this year's bill has one additional co-sponsor, we still have no idea when McConnell plans to hold this vote.

Both Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are saying the legislation is likely dead.

Why? Because your Senate colleagues would rather preserve their 60-vote rule than save 27 innocent babies a day from the scourge of late-term abortion. That is what is at stake.

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act ensures that when an unborn baby develops the ability to feel pain, they would no longer be subject to dismemberment abortions. And when a child at 21 or 22 weeks becomes able to survive outside the womb, then they deserve to get that chance.

Do you remember former-Congresswoman Renee Ellmers? She blocked this legislation from passing back in 2015. Even though it would have been vetoed by President Obama anyway, she ended up losing her next primary by over 30 percent because of her actions. Again, that was when we had a President who promised to veto the bill.

Well, President Trump has since promised to sign it into law if it reaches his desk and is demanding that you do everything in your power to send it to his desk. That includes attaching it to a must-pass spending bill or using the nuclear option to bust through the Left's filibuster.

I am writing to make sure you understand that it is not good enough to just vote for this bill. You need to work day-in and day-out to put it onto the President's desk.

At 20-weeks, unborn children develop the ability to feel pain in-utero. Yet, it is legal right now for an abortionist to perform a dismemberment abortion, literally ripping the child apart in the womb limb from limb. These babies are also just a few days away from being able to survive outside the womb if born alive. They deserve that chance.

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act bans late-term abortions after the 20th week, with exceptions for cases of rape, incestm and when the mother's life is at risk. It would save 27 innocent lives every single day. Yet, as long as your colleagues in the Senate prioritize the rules over saving lives, late-term abortion will remain a scourge on our society.

Please, do not make the same mistake as Renee Ellmers. Do not assume that you can do the bare minimum and still win re-election.

You need to do everything in your power to put this legislation onto Donald Trump's desk for signature and that includes using the nuclear option! Otherwise, I will have no choice but to mobilize during your next primary too...
