The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act just passed the House of Representatives. Yet, you wouldn't think it given the narrative being pushed by Congressional leadership.

Both Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are saying the legislation is likely dead.

Why? Because your Senate colleagues would rather preserve their 60-vote rule than save 27 innocent babies a day from the scourge of late-term abortion.

Do you remember Former-Congresswoman Renee Ellmers? She blocked this bill from passing back in 2015. Even though it would have been vetoed by President Obama anyway, she ended up losing her next primary by over 30 percent because of her actions.

Again, that was when we had a President who promised to veto the bill.

President Trump has since promised to sign it into law if it reaches his desk.

I am writing to make sure you understand that it is not good enough to just vote for this bill. You need to work day-in and day-out to put it onto the President's desk.

At 20-weeks, unborn children develop the ability to feel pain in-utero. Yet, it is legal right now for an abortionist to perform a dismemberment abortion, literally ripping the child apart in the womb limb from limb. These babies are also just a few days away from being able to survive outside the womb if born alive. They deserve that chance.

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act bans late-term abortions after the 20th week, with exceptions for cases of rape and incest and when the mother's life is at risk. It would save 27 innocent lives every single day.

Yet, as long as your colleagues in the Senate prioritize the rules over saving lives, late-term abortion will remain a scourge on our society.

Do not make the same mistake as Renee Ellmers. Do not assume that you can do the bare minimum and be re-elected.

You need to do everything in your power to put this legislation onto Donald Trump's desk for signature and that includes using the nuclear option! Otherwise, I will have no choice but to mobilize during your next primary too...
