They did this after the Congressional baseball shooting and cancelled a vote on a major bill that would have undone Obama's most unconstitutional gun control regulations. That bill was finally going to get it's vote this week, and now the GOP is being pressured into pulling it again.

On June 14, the Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) Act was scheduled to finally get its hearing in Congress. That morning, however, a crazed leftist opened fire on the Republicans congressional baseball team's practice, shooting Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others. Immediately, your colleagues pulled that bill from consideration.

They claimed that the timing wasn't right to protect Americans' 2nd Amendment rights.

Finally, after months of pressure, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were going to allow the bill to move forward again this week. Now, after the horrific shooting in Las Vegas, they are once again considering pulling the bill. They're saying that the timing, once again, is simply not right.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act also has more than enough support to pass. However, that bill is also being blocked because Paul Ryan didn't believe the timing was right.

Today, you will receive a lot of calls, letters, faxes, and emails from people demanding that you use this tragedy to go after Americans' 2nd Amendment rights. They are already calling for you to abandon the SHARE Act and Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act and instead, pass Barack Obama's old gun control proposals.

The SHARE Act will dismantle all of the unconstitutional ammunition and import bans left over from the Obama administration and prevent any future President from trying to ban ammunition ever again. It would dismantle pointless anti-gun regulations that have been on the books for close to a century.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would ensure that all Americans who are legally allowed to defend themselves with a concealed weapon in one state would be allowed to do so in every state.

You must pass both of these bills. Do not allow people to use this tragedy to put an end to all of the progress we have made in protecting Americans' 2nd Amendment rights.
