Donald Trump broke with precedent during the campaign. He stood on a debate stage and said he would only nominate pro-life judges and if they repealed Roe v Wade, so be it. He said what Republican candidates were always too afraid to admit. Then, he won.

Another campaign promise that President Trump made was to defund Planned Parenthood's abortion business. That might seem like a radical promise, but it's no different than the promises you and your colleagues made to us.

In 2015, both the House and Senate passed a bill to do just that and sent it to Obama's desk. It was promptly vetoed, but we were promised it was not the end.

So you can imagine my surprise to learn that now that we have a pro-life Republican in the White House and majorities in both chambers, you are preparing to pass a clean budget bill that keeps Planned Parenthood completely funded.

Surely you understand the ramifications of this. Helping this abortion provider keep the lights on will directly lead to more innocent lives lost.

There are no more excuses for inaction. There are no more excuses to perpetuating the status quo.

It is impossible to be pro-life if you vote for a Federal budget that sends half a billion dollars to the country's largest abortion provider. The two are incompatible.

For 8 years, we have gotten promise after promise. The time for talk is over.

It is time to start delivering. Not for me, mind you.

It is time to start delivering for the innocent unborn.
