When news broke that Paul Ryan had struck a deal with Democrats over a clean debt ceiling and budget bill that would keep Obama's legacy items funded, I wasn't surprised. It's par for the course.

I was surprised, however, not to see you and your colleagues come out in opposition to this plan.

Donald Trump is not a partisan President. He didn't win on just Republican or Democrat support. He united a coalition spanning the entire political spectrum, the first to do this since Ronald Reagan.

Now, the plan to pass these clean budget and debt ceiling bills threatens to block the very agenda that we the people voted for.

It would be the ultimate betrayal. Instead of building the wall, your colleagues want to keep Obama's amnesty programs funded; instead of standing up for life, the GOP establishment wants to help Planned Parenthood keep the lights on; and instead of seizing back American sovereignty, the plan would funnel billions to UN programs designed to undermine the President's America First agenda. Just a few weeks after falling one vote short to repeal Obamacare, a vote for these bills would keep the exchanges completely funded.

You cannot do this.

But it isn't enough to just vote against it. Paul Ryan has teamed up with Democrat leadership in order to get the votes for his plan to pass.
