Loretta Lynch lied under oath. In her November 2016 testimony, Congressman Trey Gowdy asked her point blank whether she used any other email accounts to conduct official Department of Justice business.

"So, you use official email to conduct official business," Gowdy asked.

Lynch responded, "Yes, I do."

We just learned that she maintained a secret email account named after her late grandmother, Elizabeth Carlisle. There is no Elizabeth Carlisle in the DOJ.

Publicly released emails show that DOJ staffers emailed the Carlisle account and addressed the emails to "AG Lynch."

Melanie Newman, the DOJ's Director in the Office of Public Affairs, emailed the Elizabeth Carlisle account on June 28, 2016 about drafting a press statement. Even though the email was to Carlisle, she addressed the email to "AG Lynch."

Three hours later, Loretta Lynch responded using the secret Carlisle account and thanked her team for putting the press statement together. She signed the email as "AG."

Here we have an open and shut perjury case. She was asked - under oath - whether she used any other accounts to conduct DOJ business and she responded - under oath - that she uses her official .gov account.

Now we know that was a lie. She used the Carlisle email account to conduct official business. The irony is that this newly discovered email chain was from the same exact day she secretly met with Bill Clinton on the tarmac.

You need to drop the hammer on her. She lied to Congress and perjured herself.

I am demanding that you hold an emergency vote on Contempt charges and refer this case directly to the grand jury. Anything less and you will have lost my support...
