You and your colleagues make up the least productive Congress in 164 years. Nothing has been accomplished.

And now you want to go on vacation? You haven't earned a vacation... not even close.

There are just 65 days between now and the end of the fiscal year. Based on the current legislative calendar, you and your colleagues plan to take about half of those days off...

I am writing to make sure you understand that is unacceptable.

Healthcare reform, tax cuts, immigration enforcement, completely fixing the VA, defunding the United Nations, the list literally goes on and on. After refusing to pass the same Obamacare repeal bill that you put on Obama's desk a year and a half ago, these failures have become too much to ignore.

The American people spoke loudly and clearly last November. There is no mistaking the agenda that they voted for. Yet, Congress continues to sit on its hands and do nothing.

Vacations are rewards for working hard. You haven't worked hard enough to receive a vacation.

You and I both know that the end of the fiscal year represents the best opportunity to get these agenda items signed into law. With must-pass spending bills on the horizon, it is imperative that you sit down and attach these issues as amendments to spending bills.

But you won't be able to do that if you are on vacation more than 50% of the time between now and the end of September.

You need to stay in Washington. You need to sit down and make sure that the agenda items the American people voted for reach the President's desk.

If you accomplish that, then you can go on all the vacations you want. But until then, you need to stay in Washington and get to work. Otherwise, We the People will find someone else to do the people's business...

No vacation until you accomplish what you promised for the American people!
