Paul Ryan thinks he has won. He thinks he's succeeded by unfunded and prohibiting Donald Trump from building a border wall.

Senator Ted Cruz has different plans. He has introduced the El Chapo Act, a bill that would use money seized from drug cartels to pay for the wall. It would start with the $14 billion held by El Chapo himself, which alone would build almost all of the wall.

The Democrats don't want the wall to be built because fewer illegal aliens means fewer Democrat votes. The Republican establishment doesn't want the wall to be built because fewer illegal aliens means fewer low wage workers for the GOP's corporate donors.

We are going to need to fight both parties on this and this is a fight we gladly accept!

Senator Ted Cruz has introduced the El Chapo Act, a piece of legislation that will take seized drug cartel money and use it to build a wall along the southern border.

This week, you and your colleagues refused to give President Trump the initial $1 billion he asked for to get the project up and running. That was shameful.

This legislation, however, fixes all that. If the El Chapo Act is signed into law, then Mexico will pay for the border wall.

The Senate estimates that a border wall will cost as little as $15 billion. Law enforcement estimates that El Chapo and his cartel have at least $14 billion in the bank.

Passing the El Chapo Act will fund almost the entire border wall.

There is literally no excuse not to pass this bill.

It takes drug cartel money and uses it to secure the border and prevent, among other things, drugs from entering the country.

Donald Trump ran on a simple campaign message: build the wall. He was elected in a come-from-behind landslide and won states that haven't gone red since the late 1980s.

The Silent Majority has spoken. The only question is whether you are listening...

Using seized cartel money to build the border wall is common sense. It cuts down on illegal immigration, human and drug trafficking, and is a force multiplier in our national security efforts.

You MUST vote for the El Chapo Act. A vote against this common sense bill, or any effort to kill it in committee, will be tantamount to political suicide!
