Barack Obama signed the UN Climate Treaty without consulting you or your colleagues. The Constitution requires Congressional ratification of all treaties, but the Obama White House worked with its European counterparts to avoid having to consult Congress.

Then, Barack Obama decided to implement the UN Climate Treaty without Congressional approval. He tried to use executive orders and environmental regulations to commit the United States to emmissions standards that Congress never voted on.

Lastly, Barack Obama tried to finance this unratified treaty with money that you never appropriated. He pledged $3 billion to the UN Climate Treaty and was able to give away $1 billion before leaving office. He had no right to spend taxpayer money like this.

President Trump promised to undo all of this. But now, some of his advisors are pushing for him to reverse course and continue implementing his predecessor's illegal and unconstitutional environmental agenda.

It was illegal and unconstitutional for Barack Obama to sidestep the treaty clause and sign, implement, and finance an international treaty without Congressional ratification. That doesn't change simply because the President has an (R) next to his name...
