Lt. Clint Lorance was convicted of murdering two Afghan men who refused to stop their motorcycle barrelling towards US soldiers.

The military prosecuted Lorance for killing innocent civilians, even though they knew that biometric evidence connected the motorcycle "victims" to roadside bombs in the area. They deliberately withheld this evidence at trial.

Now, Lt. Lorance is serving a 19-year prison sentence for ordering his men to open fire on insurgent roadside bomb technicians.

Army First Lieutenant Clint Lorance was only in charge for a few days. He was brought in to replace the previous squad leader who was injured in a roadside blast.

One day, Lt. Lorance saw a motorcyle carrying three local barreling towards his men. The motorcycle ignored orders to stop and the Lieutenant ordered the soldiers under his command to open fire.

Two of the men on the motorcycle were killed. A third escaped on foot.

The Obama administration took Lt. Lorance to court to make an example of him. They presented the case as a cold blooded murder of innocent, unarmed Afghans.

However, the prosecutors deliberately withheld evidence during the trial. After the shooting, the Army added the victims' fingerprints to their digital database. They found a match. The two men were connected to roadside bombs in the area. Their fingerprints were found on the bomb components.

Instead of presenting the evidence and telling the judge and jury that the "victims" were actually insurgents and bomb technicians, this crucial evidence was hidden from the defense.

President Donald Trump has said that he is considering pardoning Clint Lorance. He said that during a television interview.
