When the 9th Circuit Court was created in 1891, there were just two judges to handle cases for 3.3% of the population. Today, there are now 29 activist judges on the bench, issuing rulings for 20% of the country's population.

This has gotten out of control.

Right now, Congress is actively holding hearings to decide whether to break up the 9th Circuit and wrestle power away from the liberal activist judges in California.

When the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals was created in 1891, it issued rulings covering 3.3% of the American population.

Since then, thanks to California's massive population growth, the 9th Circuit now interprets the Constitution for 20% of all Americans. This is more than any other circuit court.

When liberal activist judges issue a ruling upholding gun bans in California, they are also eliminating Constitutional rights for 13 million Americans living in Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada.

This simply can't continue.

No one in 1891 could have anticipated this population growth. By the year 2030, California's population is expected to become 15-20% larger than what it is now.

The Judges on the 9th Circuit don't want to see it split up. They enjoy having the power to issue rulings and interpret the Constitution for 1/5 of all Americans.

There are four pieces of legislation up for consideration. Senator Flake's bill would create a "Mountain Circuit" made up of Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington. This Mountain Circuit would still have a population that was larger than the 1st and 10th Circuits.

As a result, the 9th Circuit would be reduced to issuing rulings for less than 15% of the American population. The 9th Circuit would still be the largest in the country, but its power would be greatly reduced.

As I said, there are four bills up for consideration. They are all very similar. It is up to you and your colleagues to work out the details.

But you absolutely MUST break up the 9th Circuit and put an end to these liberal activist judges issuing sham rulings!
