Last night, President Trump announced his new plan to pause refugee resettlement and implement extreme vetting to keep radicals out of our country. Every single Republican, and some Democrats, stood and applauded this promise.

By blocking the Trump's original order, a handful of liberal activist judges have allowed thousands of unvetted and under-vetted refugees to pour into the US. Congress enabled this by sitting on their hands.

Now, the White House is gearing up to sign a new executive order. Congress must be forced and, if necessary, shamed into protecting this policy.

Our national security is too important to allow an unelected activist judge to open the refugee floodgates. It is too important to allow spineless Republicans to sabotage the President.

Thanks to a handful of liberal activist judges blocking Trump's original order, thousands and thousands of unvetted and under-vetted refugees have streamed into the country.

You and your colleagues applauded Trump's promise to keep Americans safe. But when it came time to support and protect his original order, you sat on your hands.

You allowed these unelected judges to inject themselves into America's national security decision.

We the People have long memories. We remember how the American SAFE Act passed in the House with a veto-proof super majority a little over a year ago. We remember how it had bipartisan support in the Senate.

Yet when the President tried to enact the very policies you voted for, you left him out to dry. You let activist judges dismantle his edict.

I saw you and your colleagues applauding last night.

The time for inaction is over.

When President Trump does sign the new refugee pause executive order this week, I fully expect you to support it.

But support isn't enough. Liberal activist judges will once again try to legislate from the bench and block it.

It is up to YOU to cement these proposals into law. It is up to you to prevent these activist judges from reinstating Obama's failed policies. If that means reintroducing and passing HR531/S2300, so be it.

Anything less is unacceptable.
