Now, Republicans and Democrats are teaming up to block these deportations from moving forward. They are calling their bill the Bridge Act, and it would make all of Obama's amnesty programs permanent.

Today, Immigration and Customs Enforcement will deport an illegal alien woman with a felony conviction. Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos is an illegal alien who was convicted of felony identity theft after she was arrested years ago during a workplace raid.

Even though Obama promised to prioritize deporting illegal alien felons, his administration gave this woman a waiver. As a part of her "probation," she has to regularly check in with ICE agents.

When she tried to check in yesterday, officers checked her criminal record and arrested her on the spot.

Like Obama before him, President Trump has also promised to deport illegal aliens with criminal records. Except, unlike the past 8 years, this time it is actually going to happen.

The prospect of Trump deporting hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal aliens is terrifying to many in Congress.

Senators Schumer and Feinstein are working with Republican Senators Flake, Graham, and Murkowski to force a vote on the BRIDGE Act. The full name is the Bar Removal of Individuals who Dream and Grow our Economy Act.

In their eyes, an illegal alien convicted identity thief should be protected from deportation. This is nonsense.

This is about enforcing the law. This is about keeping the American people safe.
