Barack Obama did not pardon Hillary Clinton. Obama may have pardoned General Cartwright, who was convicted of mishandling classified information, but there was no Clinton pardon. The investigation into Hillary Clinton's crimes and lies under oath must continue.

One of the biggest fears was that Hillary Clinton would win the election and use her victory to dismantle the Congressional investigation. When someone breaks the law, who they are shouldn't matter. Their last name shouldn't matter.

What does it say about you if you allow Hillary Clinton's defeat to do the same? What does it say about the process if a criminal is let off the hook because they lose an election?

The investigation must continue and the evidence requires immediate action.

Hillary Clinton swore under oath that she never sent or received classified emails.

The FBI determined that statement was incorrect and emails published by Wikileaks show that Hillary's staffers knew that this was an incorrect statement. That makes it a lie under oath.

The FBI determined that was incorrect and Wikileaks published emails showing Clinton's personal attorney warning her that delivering this statement under oath would be a crime. She said it anyway. That makes it a lie under oath.

Then there is the fact that you and your colleagues issued a lawful subpoena and preservation order, which was completely ignored when staffers destroyed Clinton's email archives.

Those three crimes alone warrant action.

This isn't political. This isn't a witch hunt. No one is asking you to throw Clinton in jail. All we are asking is that you refer these crimes to a grand jury. That is only accomplished by holding Clinton in Contempt of Congress. If Hillary Clinton is innocent, then a jury of her peers will clear her. But that decision must be made by a grand jury, not by political appointees.

I am writing you to urge you to move forward with Contempt of Congress charges and close this chapter in American politics once and for all.
