Even more Leftists are joining the fight against Air Force Lt. Colonel Michael Kersten.

They are outraged that he had the nerve to say during an interview that his faith in Jesus Christ helps to guide his leadership style.

Now, Leftists both inside the Obama administration and out are demanding that Kersten be "visibly punished" for what he did. They are calling for his head.

Congress has answered the call to protect military men and women in situations like this in the past. But they only did so because YOU brought it to their attention and YOU demanded it!

Last weekend, news broke that the Obama administration and the Pentagon were considering reprimanding an Air Force Lt. Colonel for his expression of faith.

Lt. Colonel Michael Kersten was interviewed last week as part of the Air Force's "Meet Your Leader" PR campaign. During the interview, Kersten was asked what historical leader most influenced his leadership style.

He responded that he did not have a name off the top of his head, but said that Jesus “is my guide and affects all of my decisions” and that Jesus “teaches to do all things as unto the Lord and I believe this is synonymous with integrity first and excellence in all we do.”

Now, not only is the Pentagon initiating an investigation into alleged Air Force Instruction 1-1 violations, but the Military Religious Freedom Foundation is calling on Lt. Colonel Kersten to be "visibly punished" for his actions.

Think about that. A Military officer is asked a personal question about who influences his leadership style and the Left is calling for his head because he named Jesus Christ as his #1 inspiration.

He wasn't going around and handing out Bibles or forcing people to go to church. He gave a personal answer to a personal question during an interview.

In the past, you and your colleagues have debated legislation to protect religious conscience in the military. I am calling on you to open that debate once again.

No one is asking that people in the military be allowed to proselytize. But for goodness sake, the fact that we are even having this discussion proves that the political correctness in this country is out of control.

In the past, you have answered the call to defend men and women in the military who were unfairly targeted. I am calling on you to do so once again!
